1 ½ cups lemon juice
1 cup sugar
6-7 cups water
Make a simple syrup by combining in a saucepan 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water.
Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves and the mixture comes to a boil, stirring occasionally.
Cool the syrup completely.
Squeeze the juice of 6-8 lemons (or more) to get 1 ½ cups of lemon juice.
In a pitcher combine lemon juice with the simple syrup.
Add 5 cups of cold water and ice cubes to the pitcher.
Taste and adjust until the lemonade is just like you like it.
