1 ½ cups lemon juice

1 cup sugar

6-7 cups water

ice cubes


  • Make a simple syrup by combining in a saucepan 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water.

  • Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves and the mixture comes to a boil, stirring occasionally.

  • Cool the syrup completely.

  • Squeeze the juice of 6-8 lemons (or more) to get 1 ½ cups of lemon juice.

  • In a pitcher combine lemon juice with the simple syrup.

  • Add 5 cups of cold water and ice cubes to the pitcher.

  • Taste and adjust until the lemonade is just like you like it.
