Who teaches the classes?

The classes are all taught by Mindy, a home cook and mom of 2.

How do I sign my child up for classes?

Kitchen Explorers bring baking classes to Elementary Schools in the Seattle area for after school enrichment. Please contact us if you would like to bring Kitchen Explorers to your elementary school.

Occasionally there are classes held in Mindy’s home. You can check the classes link to see what’s currently available. If nothing is listed it’s because we are fully booked in schools.

Where are you located?

What kinds of things will the kids make in class?

Classes in at elementary schools focus on baking. We will learn recipes such as muffins, flat breads, breakfast foods, cookies, biscuits, etc.

Classes at Mindy’s house have a little more flexibility to cover some non-baking related recipes as well as learning some knife skills.

What should kids bring to class?

All ingredients and equipment are supplied. We often have food left over at then end of class and students are encouraged to take it home with them. We have disposable take-out containers, but if your child would like to bring a reusable container, make sure it is labeled with their name and a contact number.

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Yes! We will do our best to work with food restrictions. Please let us know when registering what your child's food restrictions are.

Do you have any policies I should know about?

Please review our policies page for information on behavior expectations, cancellation and late pick-up, etc.

What if my child misses a class?

Missed classes can not be refunded or made up.
