1 ¼ cups granulated sugar

¾ cup butter

½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 ½ cups all purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

¼ teaspoon baking soda

1 cup milk


Preheat oven to 350℉. Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan. In a large bowl stir together 1 ½ cups flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder and ¼ teaspoon baking soda.

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat melt ¾ cup butter. In a medium sized bowl whisk together the melted butter with 1 ¼ cups sugar and ½ cup cocoa powder. Whisk in 2 eggs and 1 teaspoon vanilla.

  2. In a liquid measuring cup, measure out 1 cup of milk.

  3. Stir about ⅓ of the flour mixture into the chocolate. Stir in about ⅓ of the milk into the chocolate mixture. Repeat 2 more times.

  4. Bake for about 20 minutes.
