Apple Pie Filling
2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice (from 1 lemon)
4 pounds (8 to 10) Granny Smith apples
3/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
Peel apples and cut into medium chunks
Place apples into a pot, add sugar, salt and cinnamon. Cook on a stove top for 5-10 minutes.
Allow to cool slightly, add lemon juice.
